Young Adults
Our Occupational Therapists (OT's) enable adolescents & young adults with chronic health conditions, disability, disorder and dysfunction, to continue carrying out daily function, productivity and capacity building in their day-to-day tasks in the home, school, vocational and community environment. This is achieved through a combination of 1:1 intervention with the OT's and liaising with the support staff in the community environment. Some of our OT services include:
- Home, Ergonomic and Activities of Daily Living (ADL) Assessments
- ADL intervention for capacity building for household management for independent living
- Domestic and household duties
- Budgeting & Money Management
- Meal prep and planning
- Personal hygiene, cleanliness and presentation
- Organization, time management and workload management
- Motivation and goal setting
- Strategy and tool building for managing mental health, anxiety and day to day well-being
- Educational and learning objectivities in a school or tertiary environment
- Assistive technology recommendations
- Vocational, employment and volunteering opportunities
- Developing community links and engagement through hobbies and leisure
- Forming and maintaining meaningful connections, friendships and relationships
